The Lampstand and the Bible

Please explain how the lampstand point to the 66 books that's in the Bible today.

Deirdré R - New Zealand

To begin with read the following passage:

31  And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.  32  And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:  33  Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.  34  And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.  35  And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.  36  Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
Exodus 25:31-36 KJV

At first glance it would seem that a Philadelphia lawyer would have to unravel this jargon for us, but this is not the case we'll just let the Holy Spirit do it for us.

There were three branches coming out of each side of the center branch each branch having a knop, a flower and a bowl. a knop, a flower and a bowl, and a knop, a flower and a bowl. Let me clarify that these were ornamentations on each branch. Now count the number of ornaments and you will find the number of knops, flowers and bowls equals 9 ornaments per branch with three branches on each side consisting of the total of knops, flowers and bowls being 9 per branch times three per side.equals 27. (3X9=27) So the numerics reveal the number as 27 knops, flowers and bowls on each side. We have now accounted for the six branches numerically three being on either side. Now the center branch (ya-rech meaning His thigh) consisted of 4 sets of ornamentations consisting of knops, flowers and bowls equaling 12 knops, flowers and bowls. (3X4=12) So now add the 12 center branch ornaments to the 27 ornaments of the one side of the Menorah (Lampstand) and you have now the numeric factor of 12+27=39. three branches =27 plus three branches and a center branch equaling 39. These reveal the 27 books of the New Testament and 39 books of the Old Testament representing the full light of God's revelation to man. The seven lamps are the seven Spirits of God's light of revelation both the old and the new.

5  And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God
Rev 4:5 KJV

How do we know that the Lampstand is representative of the word of God? King David said it was true! What better source of Holy Spirit revelation than from a man after God's own heart.

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path".
Ps 119:105 KJV

When accounting for all ornaments listed you will find that there are three additional knops not accounted for. These were the foundation for each set of branches and these three account for the whole of the lampstand set on the foundation of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Our task is now finished so go and enjoy the light of His word.
